This week the weather gods have been good to us, like real good! Sunny summer days are at full speed around here, which is something we don’t get as often as we would hope. So, we’re soaking up as much as we can and taking our workouts outdoors whenever possible. I recently got back to swimming and love having some peaches after a few laps!

Grill evenings are a great part of our summer fun! This week we used our new ( and tiny ) grill for the first time and it was amazing! Fire up the grill, some steaks for Tore, veggie steaks for me, a couple of veggie skewers with some whole grain pita bread and dinner was served! We will definitely be repeating this in the following weeks…sorry neighbors! #sorrynotsorry

However, when we feel like enjoying a meal out, Tushita has been a constant favorite of ours. I’ve been there twice this week and even if you are not vegan or vegetarian, I’m sure you’ll love their food. They only have one dish, which changes daily, but I have never ever not loved what they served. It’s all healthy goodness over there!

If you also want to be conscious about eating healthy I would highly suggest the MyFitnessPal app. Tracking my meals (and when I’m feeling very dedicated, my macros) really helps me to keep on track. Their food database is huge and you can even scan barcodes to get the nutritional information instantly. Pretty practical, huh? Plus, you can also log water consumption, workouts, and sync with a fitbit if you want to register all your daily activities. The whole weight and calories thing is something I don’t look into detail though. I refuse to obsess about such things and also wouldn’t advise anyone to do so.

Another app we love is the Gymboss Interval Timer. It’s great for programming timers for HIIT workouts like the one we shared on Tuesday as well as Tabata, CrossFit, Running, etc… Counting the minutes with a clock app or watch can be really annoying. The pre-set timers and buzzers really help in keeping the focus only on the workout so you can TRAIN HARD!

What were your favorites this week? Hope you have a great weekend!
