Happy Friday, friends!

So this week turned out to be a bit uneventful. Other than working on some projects, working out, and a couple of new yummy recipes that will hit the blog soon, there was not much going on. Most of my free time was spent researching things to do and places to see in Strasbourg, France. Tore and I have decided to go on a little weekend getaway and this will be Tore’s first time in croissant land. Having lived (in France) during my university studies, I’m super excited to show him my other home away from home. Even if Strasbourg is worlds different to the south of France.

One of my exciting finds was chain of restaurants called PURE etc. Look at this rainbow of salads. Don’t they look amazing? I’ll be sure to share our experience with you guys.

This week we invested in some new photographic equipment that I think will really come in handy with the blog: a new camera lens and a super cool SD card. I’m obsessed with both! I already tried out the lens a bit and I hope you all will enjoy the new images that we will be posting soon. Our new camera card connects to my IPad through WiFi and if that is not the coolest thing ever, I don’t know what is! #nerdalert We can’t wait to use them during our French escapade.

Since the weather has been milder this week, I have been back at taking baths to help release muscle tension after workouts. After dealing with some serious back pain for the last month and going through many sessions of physical therapy, things are finally getting back (no pun intended) to normal. This means I can finally pick up the pace, and the weights, in my workouts. I’m loving it! However, getting back to lifting weights after a somewhat long break means plenty of sore muscles for me. The foam roller has been a good friend this week. This muscle-relaxing blend of bath salts was also a great help, it truly works. This can be found in most drugstores in Germany.

In our workout schedule for next week we have planned some yoga sessions. I have been doing yoga since forever, but I don’t practice nearly as much as I should. Tore has been very keen to start joining me for yoga and I’m happy that we can share so many hobbies and interests that are good for us and for our relationship. Practicing yoga with a date/boyfriend/husband can really help to build trust and confidence. If you want to read more about couples yoga, you can find some cool information and fun poses to do together here.
