Friday Favorites and How I Cope with a Busy Week

September 25, 2015

Happy Fri-YAY!!!

You know those weeks when you find yourself in the middle of a Run, Lola, Run movie? Those times where life has no mercy on stepping hard on the acceleration pedal and everything seems to be running at a 1000 mph? Well, this how this week felt to me. With our upcoming honeymoon break (yay) and many projects on my daily to-do lists, this week got really intense. Unfortunately for me, my body deals with that by losing sleep. Which might sound like buying me extra time, but can in reality can lead to less productivity. Thank god I have found something to give me a hand with that, stay tuned…So, I will take a little break from Oktoberfest topics and go back to our weekly round ups , with some of things I discovered or have been loving this week.

When I’m really busy, I find that preparing soups or salads for dinner is pretty much the easiest, quickest thing to do. Since it’s getting chilly outside, I’m leaning toward the former option and have pretty much eaten this soup every single evening. #lazybuthealthy

Continuing on the subject of food, I learned this week how to make the perfect waffle. It’s super quick and all about the tools you have. So, I’m thankful for this. Don’t worry, they’re healthy! 😉

As I had mentioned above, busy many times means sleepless nights for me. As much as I love taking a bath in the evening to relax and to get my magnesium (which helps with sleep and stress) I find it nearly impossible to take a bath every single evening. Enter this lovely little powder to the rescue. Easy to dissolve, a nice subtle taste, sweetened with stevia AND provides the magnesium I need to help me keep my cool. Some people believe magnesium supplementation also leads to weight loss since it helps to balance our blood sugar levels. Not sure if that’s true, but it’s a nice bonus point for motivation.

Looking healthy is also about taking care of yourself. Tore got me this booster serum as a present this week and so far I’m loving it! I find the packaging super cute because it has a medicinal feel to it and the smell is amazing! Organic products smell a bit bleh most of the time since they’re not full of fragrances and nasties, but this one has a nice scent to it. Has anyone tried this or another Annemarie Börlind products? Let me know in the comments section. I’m not very familiar with this brand.

If you, like myself, have a love for all things IKEA and a minor (maybe major) obsession with all things DIY, you will love this little home improvement project. Scandinavian design+white+copper is the equation for “oh my god this is so gorgeous”! At least in my book. Check it out here

This weekend the Pilates sessions at Pilates Plus are again with Tore. How about a beer break and come work your abs. Join us for some strength and mobility training if you are in Munich. It’s amazing! (I know I’m biased, but just being honest)

Wish you all an amazing weekend!
