Eat like a greek…the awesomness that is a healthy greek salad!

Happy Sunday dear friends!

I am writing this post as I am sitting in our private terrace, overlooking the Aegean Sea, waiting for breakfast to be served. Life is sometimes that good. #blessed

I have already shared a small glimpse of how Santorini is amazingly beautiful in our last post on Friday, but today I want to talk about the food here. Greek food is quite popular around the world and so is greek yogurt, feta, etc…but let me tell you, it all tastes different here! The ingredients are so fresh, so tasty! My memories of olives, capers and tomatoes come to shame when I compare them with the food I have been eating in this little paradise of an island.

Today I am showing you my current salad obsession. This is by no means my recipe, but a recipe inspiration to be re-created at home with only the best ingredients, please! It makes a WORLD of a difference.

Healthy Greek Salad

  1. tomatoes
  2. kalamata olives
  3. green peppers
  4. capers
  5. red onions
  6. feta cheese
  7. olive oil
  8. oregano
  1. Dice up all ingredients and mix them together for a taste of greek heaven!
