Christmas Yoga For A Happy Holiday Season

December 23, 2015

Happy Wednesday!

As much as the holiday season if full of joy and reasons to be merry, it can also be a time of stress, with all the holiday parties, family gathering and let’s not even get started with the gift buying. My family is huge, so you can imagine the amount of gifts that are involved and all the preparation that goes into them. Today I’m presenting you with a series of Christmas Yoga poses that can help you alleviate some of the tension that pops up this time of year. It’s like yoga with a twist of some holiday sparkle to bring a bit of festive spirit into your practice.

As I have already mentioned before, I’m not a yoga instructor so I’m just sharing some poses that I do in my practice, from the several yoga studios I have tried in the past. This is just a festive spin on my yoga routine that can be great for calming the mind when you’re freaking out about having enough time to prepare a feast for the whole family or after storming around the shops to find the perfect gift for your significant other.

So put on some Christmas tunes, roll out your mat and have fun! Wearing a Santa hat or a festive sweater may help too. Enjoy!

Keep each pose for around one minute. Focus on your breathing, trying to relax and unwind…and not thinking on that mile long to-do list for holiday prep.
